Whether we are obtaining patent protection or enforcing rights, we focus on understanding our clients’ inventions and commercial opportunities. Arochi & Lindner’s patent group includes attorneys and technical professionals trained in electronics, engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology. We also have particular expertise in integrated circuits, as well as in working with plant varieties and the International Convention for the Protection of New Varieties of Plants (UPOV), which is administered by the Agriculture Ministry.

If appropriate, patent searches are not limited to Mexico and can be conducted in major patent offices, specifically the United States, European and Japan Patent Offices globally. Internationally, Mexico is a Member-Party of the Paris Convention, Locarno Agreement and the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT), as well as of the Trade-related aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (TRIPS) and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) among other Free Trade Agreements.

Our professionals prepare patent applications with particular attention to the drafting of patent claims. For our foreign clients we translate claims into Spanish with utmost care. Once a patent application and related documentation are filed, we actively monitor the examination process. After the patent is granted, we maintain an accurate docket to ensure timely payment of annual fees.

In the event of litigation, our technical staff works as a team with our experienced litigators. In transactional work, we prepare opinions; negotiate technology transfer and licensing agreements, and assignments of rights.

We have been defending intellectual property rights in Mexico since 1994, in 2011 launched an office in Barcelona, Spain and in 2014 continue our expansion. Arochi & Lindner is a law firm specializing in IP and related matters. We handle all aspects of trademark, copyright, patent, trade secret protection and enforcement, civil and commercial litigation, as well as corporate law, advertising law and food law. We counsel clients on acquiring and maintaining intellectual property, portfolio management and transactions.

Our group includes bilingual attorneys, technical professionals trained in electronics, engineering, biology, chemistry, biochemistry and biotechnology and a management staff dedicated to your success.

Hedwig Lindner heads the patent litigation department and is sought after for her litigation skills and broad expertise in the field.
